Albreuna Gonzaque, 27, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States has been crowned Miss Oklahoma USA 2021. Representing North Oklahoma City, she bested 17 other candidates.
The Miss Oklahoma USA 2021 coronation ceremony was held at the Rose State College Hudiburg Chevrolet Center in Midwest City, Oklahoma on June 5, 2021. Runner-up to Gonzaque was Samone Thompson of Crystal Lake while Tarren Land of Wheatland and Paula Jewell were the respective second and third runners-up.
Both Gonzaque and Thompson competed in Miss Oklahoma USA 2020. Gonzaque represented Warr Acres and was fourth runner-up while Thompson represented Edmond and was second runner-up.
Miss Oklahoma USA 2020 Mariah Davis became the second Miss USA 2020 second runner-up from Oklahoma. The first one was Miss Oklahoma USA 2019 and Miss USA 2019 second runner-up Triana Browne.
If Gonzaque wins the 70th edition of Miss USA at the Paradise Cove Theater at the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 29, 2021, she will be the second woman from Oklahoma to represent the U.S. in Miss Universe. The first one was Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan, who became Miss Universe 2015 second runner-up.
Gonzaque is a fashion model. She also worked as a social media coordinator at Remington Park Racetrack Casino in in Oklahoma City.
Originally from Edmond, Oklahoma, Gonzaque attended Edmond Santa Fe High School. From 2012 to 2017, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she studied mass communications and media studies.
Before winning Miss Oklahoma USA 2021, Gonzaque competed in the statewide beauty pageant five times. She was third runner-up in 2015, first runner-up in 2016, first runner-up in 2017, first runner-up in 2018 and fourth runner-up in 2020.
